Sharehouse FAQs

Are utilities included in the rent?

Yes, all utilities are included. However, some larger sharehouses will have coin laundries that are charged per use.

Do I need to bring my bedsheets and towels?

Fresh bedsheets are provided, but you’ll need to bring or buy your towels and toiletries.

Is there a curfew?

No, but please be considerate not to disturb other residents when arriving late at night.

Can LGBTQ+ students stay in a sharehouse?

Yes, daytime guests are allowed, but overnight stays are strictly prohibited. If you fail to comply with the provider's policy, the landlord will impose additional fees or in the worst case, cancel your accommodation without any refund.

Can I choose my roommates? For instance, can you assure me that during my stay, other female or Japanese roommates will be present?

No, this is logistically impossible, since all our external providers try to match residents based on location, availability, and compatibility.

Do you provide safe boxes for valuables?

No, but each room has a lockable door for security. While our sharehouses and student dorms are safe, we cannot be held responsible for any missing or damaged items.
